TinyURL Allows Users to Change Profile Picture
TinyURL has introduced a feature enabling users to modify their account profile pictures. The service also integrates with Gravatar for image display.
The URL shortening service TinyURL has launched a new capability allowing users to customize their profile pictures. This update permits the replacement of an existing image or the upload of a new one directly through the account's profile settings.
The process for setting a new profile picture is designed for simplicity. Users must first log in to their TinyURL account. Subsequently, they navigate to account settings and select profile settings. To change the profile picture, users click on the "Select a Photo" option and then upload their desired image from their computer.
TinyURL has also integrated with Gravatar, a service that associates avatar images with email addresses and displays profiles publicly by default. Consequently, TinyURL accounts may show images linked to a user's Gravatar profile if the same email address is used for both services. To alter an image displayed via Gravatar, users must make these changes separately within the Gravatar service.
With this update, TinyURL aims to enhance the user experience and provide greater personalization of the service. Changes to the profile picture take effect immediately after uploading.
