Tmall Launches 2026 Singles' Day Sales on October 20
Tmall's 2026 Singles' Day sales event will commence on October 20, allowing 88VIP members to select their discount coupon values. The discount level is higher compared to the previous year.
Chinese e-commerce platform Tmall has announced that its 2026 Singles' Day sales event is scheduled to begin on October 20.
The initial phase, starting at 8 PM on October 20, will feature the distribution of seven consumer coupons to 88VIP members. This year's promotion offers a greater discount rate than last year, starting from 8.7 percent. These coupons will be usable immediately once the sale goes live.
Customers will have the option to choose the denominations of their consumer coupons. For instance, a coupon offering "480 yuan off 60 yuan" can be "expanded" to select larger discounts like "600 yuan off 75 yuan" or "1000 yuan off 125 yuan." This feature aims to allow users to tailor their discounts based on their total purchase amount.
Apple's iPhone 18 Pro series will participate in Tmall's Singles' Day sales this year. Consumers can currently claim a 300 yuan Apple surprise coupon. Additionally, local subsidies of up to 500 yuan will be available through a trade-in program for older devices, starting October 20. AI services, including those from model providers like ZhiPu, MiniMax, and QianWen, are also included in the Singles' Day offerings for the first time, providing discounts on the purchase of AI "tokens."
