Tom Cruise is transformed in Digger trailer

Warner Bros. has unveiled the official trailer for its forthcoming satirical black comedy, Digger. Footage previously shown to industry insiders at Cinemacon in April garnered enthusiastic reception.

The trailer features Tom Cruise in a dramatically altered appearance as eccentric billionaire oil magnate Digger Rockwell, complete with wispy hair and a potbelly, diverging significantly from his typical on-screen personas.

Digger marks the first English-language film from four-time Oscar winner Alejandro G. Iñárritu since his 2015 release, The Revenant.

The film's official logline states: "The most powerful man in the world races to prove he's humanity's savior before the disaster he unleashed destroys everything." The trailer suggests this disaster is ecological, involving melting icebergs and nuclear waste.
