Tomorrow.Blue Economy 2026 Gathers Blue Economy Experts in Barcelona

Fira de Barcelona is set to host the Tomorrow.Blue Economy World Congress (TBEWC) from November 3-5, an international event dedicated to the sustainable development of oceans and blue economy strategies. The congress will convene representatives from major urban ports, public administrations, international organizations, research centers, companies, and startups. The objective is to position oceans as a key driver for sustainable economic growth in the coming decades. Key sessions will feature global experts such as Allyson Beach, blue acceleration advisor at the World Ocean Council; Chris Ninnes, CEO of the Aquaculture Stewardship Council; and Emma Cobos, director of innovation and blue economy strategy at the Port of Barcelona. The program is structured into three tracks: Smart Ports: Piers of the Future, Global Blue Finance Summit, and Sustainable Ocean Summit. The Smart Ports track will address challenges and foster innovative solutions in the port and maritime sector. The Global Blue Finance Summit aims to connect investors with high-growth potential blue economy opportunities, while the Sustainable Ocean Summit will serve as a forum for accelerating the blue economy's deployment and enhancing ocean protection. Barcelona City Council, through Barcelona Activa, will also facilitate open innovation by connecting large corporations with startups. The event will also include the Ocean Innovation Hub, a space for emerging blue economy startups worldwide to showcase their projects. TBEWC is organized with support from Barcelona City Council, Port of Barcelona, the World Ocean Council, Oceanovation, and Smart Ports: Piers of the Future, and runs alongside other major congresses like the Smart City Expo World Congress.
