Tonbo Imaging's Net Profit Falls 30% to ₹362.6 Cr in FY26
Defence tech startup Tonbo Imaging reported a 30% year-over-year decline in net profit for fiscal year 2026, with revenues also decreasing.

Defence technology startup Tonbo Imaging has reported a net profit of ₹362.6 crore for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, a 30% decrease from ₹469.1 crore in the previous year. This decline occurred alongside a 22.7% year-over-year drop in operating revenue, which fell to ₹299.9 crore from ₹374.3 crore in FY25.
The company's total income, including other income, stood at ₹370 crore. The majority of revenue, ₹362.6 crore, came from product sales. Domestic sales constituted ₹337.4 crore, while exports contributed only ₹20.2 crore. Notably, domestic sales decreased by over half, and exports plummeted by 93.4% compared to the prior fiscal year.
Founded in 2012, Tonbo Imaging designs and deploys advanced imaging and sensor systems for defence applications, enhancing situational awareness in challenging environments. Their technology encompasses thermal imaging, electro-optics, and AI-powered sensor fusion, used in military reconnaissance and security. Clients include NATO and the US Navy SEALs.
The company is preparing for an Initial Public Offering (IPO). In its refiled draft prospectus, Tonbo Imaging addressed allegations concerning the procurement of critical components from Chinese original equipment manufacturers and accusations of pricing contracts below cost to inflate its order book. The company has refuted all allegations.
