Tone Loc Launches New Animated Social Media Project
Rapper Tone Loc is lending his voice to a new animated social media project. The endeavor marks his first solo animation work since the 1996 television series 'C-Bear and Jamal'.

Los Angeles โ July 10, 2026 โ Rapper and actor Tone Loc, known for his 1980s hits "Wild Thing" and "Funky Cold Medina," is launching a new animated project for social media. This marks his first solo animation undertaking since his series "C-Bear and Jamal" aired on Fox Kids from 1996 to 1997.
The project, currently in development, will feature Tone Loc as the voice of the main character, an English bulldog named Loco. The animated character is depicted in various situations as he searches for a owner. An official release date on social media platforms has not yet been announced.
Tone Loc is also set to appear on an upcoming single by his eldest son, Bijan. Bijan, a rapper, produced the music using artificial intelligence, with an AI artist performing the song's hook.
"I was really impressed when I heard the track," Tone Loc stated in a press release. "The fans have been asking, so I'm finally focused on releasing new content."
Beyond his music career, Tone Loc has an extensive filmography, including roles in "Heat," "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective," and "Posse," as well as voice work for "FernGully: The Last Rainforest."
