Tongwei Launches New Solar Modules at Intersolar Europe

Solar panel manufacturer Tongwei made its mark at Intersolar Europe 2026 in Munich by launching two new solar panel models: the TNC 3.0 BIFIMAX series and the upgraded TNC 2.0 G12R-48. These launches aim to address diverse global market needs, from utility-scale projects to residential installations.

The TNC 3.0 BIFIMAX, designed for utility projects, achieves a record bifaciality rate of up to 93.07%. This feature allows the module to effectively capture light from its rear side, increasing energy yield, particularly on surfaces with high reflectivity. The panel delivers up to 770W of power with a conversion efficiency of 24.8%. According to the company, for a 100MW solar plant in Hamburg, this configuration could generate an additional €180,000 in annual revenue and 81.62 million kWh of clean electricity over its lifetime compared to standard modules. The panel is also built to withstand extreme conditions, including high temperatures and heavy snow loads.

The TNC 2.0 G12R-48, targeted at the residential market, offers up to 480W of power with a 24% conversion efficiency. Its compact size and focus on aesthetics make it suitable for installation on residential rooftops. Tongwei states that its technology enhances energy production even in low-light conditions, extending daily generation hours from dawn to dusk. The incorporated Louvred Interconnection technology improves the panel's resistance to mechanical stress, such as from snow and wind.

Tongwei emphasized its commitment to meeting varied energy demands by providing both high-yield solutions for large-scale facilities and aesthetically pleasing, efficient options for households. Both new models are engineered for resilience against demanding weather conditions.
