Tongwei Solar Introduces New Residential Module

Tongwei Solar has introduced its TNC 2.0 FULLX G12R-48 residential solar module. The 48-cell panel offers up to 490W of power with a 24.5% efficiency and is available in Full Black and Black Frame designs.

The new module reportedly delivers approximately 30W more power than comparable traditional TOPCon modules of similar size. Tongwei states that under test conditions, the panel achieves an average of 3.3% higher energy production per watt compared to copper-plated BC modules. This is attributed to lower leakage current and improved performance in low-light conditions, enhancing energy capture during early morning and late afternoon hours.

Designed for homeowners seeking to maximize installed capacity on limited roof areas, the TNC 2.0 FULLX G12R-48 is positioned to provide energy output comparable to a 500W BC module. This could potentially reduce the upfront cost of solar installations.

Tongwei has also focused on the module's aesthetics and durability. The Full Black and Black Frame options are designed to complement modern home roofs. The module features a double-glass construction and protective sealing for long-term outdoor reliability.
