Top End Meat Company Launches On-Farm Harvest Services in Southern Oregon

Grants Pass, Oregon – Top End Meat Company announced the launch of its new on-farm harvesting services for farms across Southern Oregon. This initiative marks the company's first phase in its commitment to maintaining the custom butchery trade within the Rogue Valley region.

The mobile service will cater to both small and large farms in Josephine and Jackson counties, handling the harvest of cattle, pigs, sheep, and goats. According to the company, the service reduces animal stress and eliminates lengthy transport to USDA facilities, providing farmers assurance of their animals' welfare.

In 2027, Top End Meat plans to open a new custom meat processing facility in Grants Pass, which will process both livestock and wild game. Additionally, the company will introduce a butcher training program in the winter of 2027. This ten-week program aims to teach the skills and business aspects of butchery, preparing graduates for employment in various sectors.

With a growing demand for locally sourced meat and a shortage of skilled butchers, the company aims to secure the future of the trade and keep local meat within the community. Top End Meat Co. focuses on supporting the local community by offering custom exempt harvest and processing services to Southern Oregon's farms, families, and hunters.
