Toshiba S300 AI Hard Drives Now Available in China
Toshiba has launched its S300 AI series of hard drives, designed for surveillance and other demanding applications. The drives are available in 8TB and 10TB capacities, starting at 2949 yuan.
Toshiba has begun selling its S300 AI series of hard drives in China. The new drives are specifically engineered for applications such as surveillance systems, offering storage capacities of 8TB and 10TB.
The pricing for these models starts at 2949 yuan (approximately $410 USD). The Toshiba S300 AI series supports RAID disk arrays and JBOD configurations, with claims of reduced power consumption during operation while ensuring rapid drive recovery.
Technically, the drives are built for 24/7 operation and are rated for an annual workload of up to 550TB. They boast an average Mean Time Between Failures (MTTF) of up to 2.5 million hours. These are 3.5-inch drives with a 7200RPM rotation speed and SATA interface. Both the 8TB and 10TB versions feature a 512MB cache and can achieve sequential read speeds of up to 281MB/s. Toshiba provides a five-year warranty for the series.
