Total Play, a Mexican telecommunications provider, announced its financial results for the second quarter of 2026. Revenue for the period was Ps.11,360 million, a decrease of 1.6% from Ps.11,551 million in the same quarter of the previous year. Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization (EBITDA) stood at Ps.5,074 million, down from Ps.5,399 million year-over-year. The company reported a net loss of Ps.362 million, compared to a net income of Ps.180 million in Q2 2025.

Despite the revenue dip, Total Play added 121,572 net residential subscribers during the quarter, bringing its total residential subscriber base to over 5.67 million. The company attributes this growth to strong demand for its technologically advanced internet services provided over its extensive fiber optic network. Revenue from the enterprise segment, however, saw a 16% decrease.

"The solid increase in net subscribers reflects strong demand for our technologically advanced internet services," said CEO Eduardo Kuri, noting that the company optimized its network usage. Total Play also focused on strengthening its capital structure by reducing debt with costs by 5% through various amortizations.

The company's network passed 19.5 million homes by the end of the quarter, with a service penetration rate of 29.1%. Total Play continues to invest in expanding its network coverage and enhancing its service offerings across Mexico.
