Tottenham Hotspur Cuts Licensing Fees by 85% With VMware to HPE Migration
Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur has achieved over 85% savings on licensing fees by replacing its stadium's VMware virtualization environment with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) solutions.
Tottenham Hotspur has significantly reduced its IT licensing costs by migrating away from its VMware virtualization platform. The club replaced its stadium's VMware instance with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) virtualization software, resulting in savings exceeding 85 percent on licensing fees.
The transition of Tottenham's IT infrastructure was confirmed this week. The club has moved its server, storage, and networking infrastructure to HPE solutions. The entire setup is delivered through HPE's GreenLake hybrid cloud management platform.
According to Tottenham's CTO Rob Pickering, the new solution incorporates HPE's Morpheus VM Essentials (VME) virtualization software and HPE's OpsRamp software for managing hybrid and multi-cloud environments. HPE will also manage the hybrid cloud services for the club.
