Tour de France Uses AI for Personalized Fan Experience

The Tour de France, in collaboration with its official technology partner Capgemini, has introduced "Inside My Race," a new digital experience designed to offer cycling fans personalized, near real-time insights into the race and its riders. The platform utilizes artificial intelligence to combine live race data, historical information, and editorial content, creating individualized race narratives.

Fans can select up to four cyclists to follow, receiving tailored updates on their performance, position, and role within the race. The AI analyzes complex racing statistics, live updates, and rich media to explain the tactics and turning points of each stage in an accessible manner. This approach aims to provide a deeper understanding for both seasoned followers and newer audiences.

The service also features a 3D map allowing users to compare selected riders against the race leader, enhancing comprehension of the evolving dynamics. "Inside My Race" seeks to make cycling more accessible and deepen fan engagement with the event and individual athletes.

"Inside My Race" will be available on the Tour de France platforms—website, mobile app, and the Capgemini-powered Race Center—starting July 4, 2026. This launch marks the initial phase of a broader effort to deliver more personalized digital experiences for cycling audiences.
