Tourism Authority of Thailand stages VIJIT Thailand 2026 across three regions

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is organizing VIJIT Thailand 2026 in the provinces of Lamphun, Trang, and Roi Et, focusing on showcasing distinctive regional identities through a blend of creative technology and immersive cultural performances.

The project aims to illuminate the unique characteristics and cultural heritage of each province by integrating modern technological solutions with traditional artistic expressions. The events are scheduled to commence on September 25 and will run for one month, designed to attract both domestic and international tourists.

In Lamphun, located in the northern part of Thailand, the focus will be on the region's historical and scenic environment. Trang, in the south, will highlight the culture and natural resources of its coastal areas, while Roi Et will showcase the rich traditions and vibrant culture of the Isaan region in northeastern Thailand.

According to TAT, VIJIT Thailand 2026 is part of a broader strategy to promote tourism throughout the country. The initiative specifically targets regions that may not traditionally receive high tourist volumes, aiming to distribute tourism revenue more evenly and support local economies.
