Toyota Grand Highlander Adds Woodland Edition for 2027

Toyota is adding a new Woodland Edition to its Grand Highlander lineup for the 2027 model year. This new trim level introduces enhanced off-road capabilities, including all-terrain tires, increased ground clearance, and all-wheel drive. The model is aimed at customers with an active lifestyle.

The Woodland Edition features 18-inch matte-black alloy wheels with all-terrain tires. Ground clearance is increased by half an inch compared to other Grand Highlander models. The vehicle also includes a removable cooler/console for the second-row seats, all-weather floor mats with Woodland badging, and enhanced LED lighting with a rear cargo area organizer.

The Grand Highlander offers a choice of gasoline, hybrid, and Hybrid MAX powertrains, and is available with front- or all-wheel drive depending on the trim and powertrain. All models come standard with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 and a 12.3-inch touchscreen display. The vehicles are manufactured at Toyota's plant in Indiana, USA.

Other updates for 2027 include cosmetic changes for the Hybrid MAX Platinum model, such as black accents on the grille and roof rails. XLE models will receive a heated steering wheel and new 18-inch wheels as standard. The Hybrid Nightshade Edition and Hybrid MAX Limited models will be discontinued.
