Trade Nation to acquire FXCM UK's client portfolio
Trade Nation has agreed to acquire the UK client portfolio of Stratos Markets Limited, operating as FXCM in the UK. The transaction is expected to close in Q4 2026.

Trade Nation, a FCA-regulated spread betting and CFD provider, has entered into an agreement to acquire the UK client portfolio of Stratos Markets Limited, which operates as FXCM (and Tradu) in the United Kingdom. The transaction is anticipated to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2026 and is set to significantly expand Trade Nation's customer base.
Stratos Markets Limited, known in the UK as FXCM, had previously announced its intention to cease retail brokerage operations in the country. The acquisition by Trade Nation will encompass all client relationships previously managed by FXCM UK. The company stated that the deal will not affect clients' open positions or margin requirements, and efforts will be made to ensure a smooth transition.
Trade Nation emphasized that its services will remain available to UK clients following the acquisition. The firm aims to provide the same advanced trading platforms and services that FXCM UK clients are accustomed to. Market analysts suggest the deal will bolster Trade Nation's growth strategy and enhance its competitive standing within the UK's highly regulated and competitive financial markets.
The completion of the transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals. Trade Nation is an FCA-authorized firm offering access to a wide range of global markets. Stratos Markets Limited is part of the larger FXCM Group, which continues its operations in other jurisdictions.
