Trader Joe’s announces plans for 30 new store locations
Grocery retailer Trader Joe’s is opening two new stores this week, with plans to add 28 additional locations across 15 U.S. states in the coming months.
Trader Joe’s has confirmed the launch of two new retail locations scheduled for this week. The store in Anaheim, California, will open on Thursday, October 22, followed by a new branch in West Jordan, Utah, on Friday, October 23. Both sites are slated to begin operations at 9 a.m.
These openings represent the first phase of a broader expansion plan involving 30 new stores. According to company disclosures, the expansion spans 15 states, with California and Illinois slated to receive the highest volume of new outlets at four each.
While the company has identified the sites for all 30 planned locations, it has not provided specific opening dates for the majority of the list. Management indicates that while some stores will open in the short term, the full rollout of the new properties is projected to continue through 2027.
