The Sky Original docu-series "22 July – The Shots in Munich," exploring the 2016 Munich attack, will premiere on July 21 on Sky Crime and Sky Ticket. The series examines the event's background and motives.

Constantin Film and Sky have released the trailer and confirmed the premiere date for their new Sky Original docu-series, "22 July – The Shots in Munich." The four-part series delves into the background and motives behind the 2016 attack at the Olympia-Einkaufszentrum (OEZ) in Munich.
Produced by Constantin Dokumentation in collaboration with Süddeutsche Zeitung, the series features interviews with eyewitnesses, experts from police and forensics, journalists, extremism researchers, and psychologists. This approach aims to provide a comprehensive picture of the events and offer new insights.
The documentary will be available exclusively on Sky Crime, as well as on Sky Ticket and via Sky Q, starting July 21. "22 July – The Shots in Munich" seeks to address the lingering questions following the attack, including the perpetrator's deeply rooted hatred, how he obtained a weapon, and his admiration for mass murderer Anders Breivik.
The series goes beyond a chronological retelling of events, investigating the racist motivations behind the attack and potential links to other similar incidents. It explores the assassination from the perspectives of first responders, investigators, the media, politicians, and those close to the perpetrator.
