Transatlantic Underwriters Adds Stephanie Karafa as Insurance Underwriter & Broker

Transatlantic Underwriters (TAU), a wholesale provider of property, casualty, and transportation insurance, has appointed Stephanie Karafa as an underwriter and broker. Karafa brings nearly two decades of experience in transportation and commercial property and casualty insurance.

Karafa will support both the Transportation and Property & Casualty divisions, with a primary focus on transportation business. Based in Orlando, she will help expand TAU's presence in the Southeastern United States, concentrating on developing transportation and P&C opportunities in Florida.

In her new position, Karafa will also focus on commercial auto liability. This will provide TAU's retail agent partners with access to more comprehensive transportation offerings, potentially including auto liability, physical damage, and cargo insurance.

Karafa has a background in transportation and commercial underwriting, including managing Lloyd's transportation programs. She has received multiple Top Broker of the Month honors during her career.
