TransDigm to Acquire Prince & Izant for $1.06 Billion

TransDigm Group has entered into a definitive agreement to purchase Prince & Izant for approximately $1.06 billion in cash, including certain tax benefits. Prince & Izant specializes in highly engineered brazing alloys and specialty metal components.

Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, Prince & Izant primarily serves the aerospace, defense, aeroderivative turbine, and transportation sectors. Its products are critical for applications such as aircraft engine fuel nozzles and rocket engines. The company also has a smaller presence in the medical and general industrial markets.

Mike Lisman, TransDigm's CEO, stated that Prince & Izant's proprietary products and customer service align with TransDigm's acquisition criteria. The acquired company is projected to generate approximately $360 million in revenue for 2026 and employs around 220 people across four U.S. manufacturing locations.

The acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions. TransDigm continues its strategy of acquiring businesses to expand its product offerings and market reach within the aerospace and defense industries.
