Transport Vermeir expands fleet with new Scania V8 units
Belgian logistics firm Transport Vermeir is marking its 20th anniversary by adding a new Scania 590 S V8 to its transport fleet.

Hamme-based Transport Vermeir has taken delivery of a Scania 590 S V8 to commemorate its 20th year in business. Since its inception in 2006, the family-run company has expanded from a single vehicle to a fleet of 12, specializing in ADR (hazardous goods) transport and container logistics.
Founder Benny Vermeir confirmed that the company has ordered two additional Scania units for delivery early next year. According to the company, maintaining a high-specification fleet is a strategic decision intended to assist in recruiting experienced drivers and maintaining long-term service standards within the competitive chemical transport sector in Antwerp.
To ensure operational efficiency, the new vehicles are covered by the Scania Services 360 Plus maintenance agreement. The firm cites the balance between high vehicle reliability and total cost of ownership as the primary driver for its continued investment in the brand.
