Traya in Talks to Raise Around ₹300 Crore from Verlinvest

Mumbai-based customized haircare startup Traya is in talks to raise approximately ₹300 crore (about $31 million) from Belgian investment firm Verlinvest, according to sources familiar with the matter.

The proposed funding round is expected to value the startup between ₹2,500 crore and ₹3,000 crore (approximately $262 million to $315 million). The deal, which may include both primary and secondary components, is not yet finalized, and the funding amount could potentially increase.

These discussions occur amid strong recent growth for Traya, which is reportedly clocking an annualized revenue rate of ₹900 crore to ₹1,000 crore. This potential investment follows a ₹75 crore round led by Xponentia Capital in April 2024.

Founded in 2019, Traya offers personalized haircare solutions by combining technology-driven assessments with expert medical advice. The company has been expanding its physical presence, operating over 20 centers across several Indian cities, in addition to its online platform.
