Triumph Trident and Tiger Sport 660 models updated with increased power
Triumph Motorcycles has updated its Trident 660 and Tiger Sport 660 models for 2026, significantly boosting engine performance. The updates also include improvements to handling and rider ergonomics.

Triumph Motorcycles is upgrading its Trident 660 and Tiger Sport 660 models for the 2026 model year, with a focus on enhanced engine performance. These mid-range bikes will receive a substantial power increase, drawing from the technology used in the Daytona 660 sportbike.
The most notable change is a 14 horsepower increase for both the Trident 660 and Tiger Sport 660, bringing their total output to 95 horsepower. This gain is achieved through updated engine internals, including new pistons, crankshaft, valves, and camshafts. A larger air filter and revised intake system contribute to the engine's ability to rev higher.
The engine's redline has been extended by approximately 20 percent to 12,650 rpm. Torque sees an increase of 4 Nm, reaching 68 Nm at 8,250 rpm, with over 80 percent of peak torque available across a broad range from 3,000 to 12,000 rpm. The throttle response has been improved by adopting individual throttle bodies for each cylinder, a feature previously exclusive to the Daytona 660.
Beyond the powertrain, Triumph has also refined other aspects of the motorcycles. Gear ratios have been modified, and the quickshifter's operation has been made smoother. The Trident 660's fuel tank has been widened at the front for improved knee grip and rider connection. New color options are also being introduced for the upcoming model year.
