Tronox reports $55 million net loss in third quarter
Titanium dioxide manufacturer Tronox posted $827 million in revenue for the third quarter of 2026, citing geopolitical conflict and supply chain disruptions as key headwinds.

Tronox Holdings plc reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of $827 million, an 18% increase year-over-year but a 5% sequential decline. The company recorded a net loss of $55 million, or $0.34 per share, as it navigated a complex global market environment.
CEO John Romano attributed the pressure on the company's margins to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, which disrupted supply chains and increased costs for essential raw materials including natural gas and sulfuric acid. Production at the company's Yanbu facility in Saudi Arabia faced unplanned downtime due to the closure of a regional gas pipeline, though operations have since resumed.
Looking ahead, Tronox anticipates sequential volume declines for its pigment and zircon products in the fourth quarter, primarily driven by seasonal factors. The company has adjusted its full-year 2026 free cash flow outlook, citing unforeseen macroeconomic challenges and persistent raw material cost inflation.
