Danish game developer Trophy Games Development A/S has announced its agreement to acquire the entirety of Paris-based studio Playrion SASU from Paradox Interactive AB. This acquisition will integrate Playrion's existing mobile titles, Airlines Manager and Airport Simulator: First Class, into Trophy Games’ portfolio.

The transaction is expected to strengthen Trophy Games' market position in the mobile management and simulation game segment. Paradox Interactive, meanwhile, stated the divestiture allows it to sharpen its focus on strategy and management games for PC and consoles.

Playrion, known for its simulation games in the aviation sector, was previously owned by Paradox Interactive. The acquisition is part of a strategic realignment for both companies, aiming for clearer operational focuses.

Financial terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed. Both companies are recognized for their respective contributions to the simulation and strategy game markets. Trophy Games plans to leverage the acquired titles to expand its reach in the mobile gaming industry.

Playrion's existing games have accumulated a significant player base across mobile platforms. Trophy Games anticipates that the integration of these titles will contribute to its future growth and market presence.
