Kalypso Media has released a playable demo for its upcoming simulation title, Tropico 7. The demo, available for free on Steam, allows players to experience a portion of the game ahead of its official launch. The full version of Tropico 7 is slated for release on January 28, 2027.
Developed by Gaming Minds Studios and published by Kalypso Media, Tropico 7 continues the series' established gameplay of building and managing island nations. The new entry introduces several upgrades, including five campaign maps and a new rival character, Victoria. The game boasts the largest archipelago to rule in the series, featuring 10 additional scenarios and over 20 sandbox maps, with support for random map generation.
Key new features include a terrain modification system that enables players to flatten mountains, create beaches, or even construct new islands. The game also presents an upgraded council political system and a revised military system for more direct control. Players can further personalize their experience by customizing their palace and presidential avatar.
Tropico 7 offers full support for simplified Chinese, including interface, audio, and subtitles, along with 12 other languages. Minimum and recommended system requirements have been published on Steam, indicating a need for Windows 11 and robust hardware for optimal performance.
