Trump Discloses August Purchases of Meta Stock, SpaceX Debt
President Donald Trump's August financial disclosure reveals significant trades, including up to $25 million in Meta Platforms stock and up to $5 million in SpaceX debt.

President Donald Trump engaged in over 500 securities transactions in August, highlighted by a purchase of up to $25 million in Meta Platforms stock and an investment of up to $5 million in SpaceX debt. The SpaceX debt purchase occurred two days before Trump signed a policy aimed at expanding U.S. commercial space transportation.
Trump's latest financial disclosure filing shows his portfolio remained highly active, though trading volume decreased compared to June and July when he reported over 1,000 transactions per month.
The largest single transaction was an Aug. 21 purchase of Meta shares valued between $5 million and $25 million. On the same day, Trump also reported buying between $1 million and $5 million each of AT&T, ConocoPhillips, Abbott Laboratories, Netflix, and Chevron.
On the sell side, also on Aug. 21, Trump divested holdings valued between $1 million and $5 million each in Advanced Micro Devices and Church & Dwight. He also sold stakes worth $500,001 to $1 million in companies including Boeing, Home Depot, T-Mobile, Datadog, Dell Technologies, Palo Alto Networks, and Nvidia.
The disclosure covers a wide array of sectors and underscores continued engagement in the financial markets, drawing attention to the potential implications of a sitting president's investment activities.
