TRX Systems Extends Assured PNT Solution to Military Vehicles
TRX Systems has received its first order from the U.S. Army to deploy its DAPS GEN II Assured PNT system in vehicle-mounted applications. This expansion brings reliable positioning and timing capabilities to military ground platforms.
TRX Systems has secured a seventh delivery order (DO7) from the U.S. Army for its DAPS GEN II Assured Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (APNT) system, marking the first deployment in vehicle and mounted applications.
The company, which has previously supplied thousands of DAPS GEN II systems for dismounted warfighters, is now extending its solution to provide resilient PNT capabilities for military ground platforms. This ensures continuous and reliable positioning and timing even when GPS signals are jammed or denied.
The new order incorporates TRX's Vehicular Interface Adapter (VIA), an accessory that allows for straightforward integration of the DAPS GEN II system into existing military vehicles. The VIA can also connect to anti-jam antennas and external sensors, enhancing the system's adaptability to diverse operational environments.
The U.S. Army designates this mounted configuration as the Dismounted Assured PNT System (DAPS) Mounted Engineering Change Proposal (DME). Initial deliveries of the DME kits are anticipated by mid-2027, bridging PNT capabilities between mounted and dismounted formations.
