TSMC reports 68% surge in June revenue

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), the world's largest contract chipmaker, announced on Monday that its June sales surged 67.9% compared to the previous year. This performance comes ahead of the company's second-quarter earnings release later this week.

For the first half of 2026, TSMC's total revenue reached NT$2.4 trillion (approximately $75 billion), marking a 35.6% increase from the same period in 2025. The company reported June revenue of NT$442.68 billion, a 6.2% rise from the preceding month.

The chip giant's growth has been fueled by strong demand for artificial intelligence chips and investments in related infrastructure. TSMC produces semiconductors for a wide array of applications, from smartphones to high-performance AI computing systems. Key clients include technology leaders such as Nvidia, Apple, and Advanced Micro Devices.

TSMC is also planning to construct two advanced chip packaging plants in the Chiayi Science Park in southern Taiwan. The company holds a dominant 73% share of the global pure-foundry market as of the first quarter of 2026, according to Counterpoint Research. TSMC is scheduled to report its second-quarter earnings on Thursday, July 16.
