TuHURA Biosciences Secures New Patent for VISTA Inhibitor

TuHURA Biosciences has received a new U.S. patent, No. 12,760,104, covering its VISTA-inhibiting antibody, TBS-2025. The patent extends protection to include bispecific and multispecific antibodies across all classes of human antibodies.

Additionally, the patent covers the use of TBS-2025 in combination with radiotherapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapies, and immune checkpoint inhibitors, including PD-1 inhibitors. The patent protection also extends to new therapeutic areas such as autoimmune diseases and infections, and is valid until February 2042.

"VISTA is an increasingly critical target for intervention not only in AML and MDS but also in multiple myeloma," said Dr. James Bianco, President and CEO of TuHURA. "This broad patent coverage strengthens our VISTA franchise and enhances the value of TBS-2025 for potential future collaborations."

TuHURA Biosciences is developing novel immuno-oncology therapeutics designed to overcome resistance to cancer immunotherapy. The company's other therapies in development include IFx-2.0 and bispecific antibody-drug conjugates.
