Turning Rock Partners, a private investment firm headquartered in New York, has finalized a transaction resulting in the realization of a $30 million helicopter asset portfolio. The original acquisition of these assets was a collaborative effort, with Turning Rock Partners collaborating with RIVE Private Investment and SMFL Helicopters.
The portfolio comprises a diversified group of helicopters manufactured by Airbus, Bell, Leonardo, and Sikorsky. Turning Rock Partners stated that the assets generated stable lease income from various quality counterparties and maintained strong collateral value. The helicopters will continue to be managed by SMFL Helicopters.
Officials from RIVE Private Investment highlighted the transaction as a demonstration of their partnership's strength and shared belief in critical transportation assets. They emphasized their combined expertise in structuring financial solutions for specialized market segments.
SMFL Helicopters, part of the Sumitomo Mitsui Finance and Leasing group, affirmed the helicopter market's liquidity and trading activity through this financing deal. The company, which operates a global fleet, focuses on critical mission operations such as emergency medical services and search and rescue.
