TÜV SÜD certifies Dyson Gen5detect and V15 vacuums
Dyson's Gen5detect and V15 vacuum cleaner models have received certification from TÜV SÜD. This independent testing confirms the products' safety, quality, durability, and long-term performance after rigorous assessments.

Dyson has announced that its Gen5detect and V15 cordless vacuum cleaner models have been certified by TÜV SÜD. The independent testing organization has assessed the vacuums, batteries, and chargers, confirming their quality, safety, durability, and endurance.
The Dyson Gen5detect, described as the company's most advanced cordless vacuum, was certified for usability and endurance. It features a 10-cell battery providing up to 70 minutes of run time, with an auto mode that adjusts suction power based on floor type for optimized battery life. The machine is equipped with a fully sealed HEPA filtration system designed to capture 99.9 percent of particles, including viruses.
The Dyson V15 Detect also passed the tests, offering up to 60 minutes of run time. It includes an LCD screen that displays information such as remaining battery life and maintenance alerts. A piezo sensor detects and adjusts suction power based on dust particle size and quantity, while the five-stage filtration system captures 99.99 percent of particles down to 0.3 microns. Equipped with a laser, it illuminates dust on hard floors.
Dyson states that its products are developed and tested for real-world household conditions. Devices undergo thousands of drop, impact, and stress tests during development in labs and homes globally. To ensure long-term durability, the vacuums are subjected to a minimum of five years of demanding testing, including simulations of over 1,000 km of vacuuming on various floor types and hundreds of thousands of cycles for components like batteries and motors.
