Twitter Award: Nearly 42 Million Tweets for Fandom Category
The 13th Annual Soompi Awards saw nearly 42 million tweets generated for the #TwitterBestFandom category, with #TeamGOT7 securing almost 40% of the total votes.

During the 13th Annual Soompi Awards, Twitter served as the official voting platform for the #TwitterBestFandom category. Across two 24-hour voting periods, fans worldwide sent nearly 42 million tweets expressing support for their favorite groups using the #TwitterBestFandom and #Team hashtags.
The fans of GOT7, known as #TeamGOT7, emerged as the winners of the fan vote, garnering almost 40% of all voting tweets. This marks the third consecutive year they have defended their Best Fandom title at the Soompi Awards. The group GOT7 was also recognized as "Best Male Group" and received the "Latin America Popularity Award."
Hashtags associated with the Soompi Awards and the fan voting, such as #SoompiAwards and #TwitterBestFandom, trended globally. The #SoompiAwards hashtag alone was used in nearly 14 million conversations on Twitter between January 23 and February 20.
Among the top fandom categories voted for were #TeamBTS, #TeamEXO, and #TeamSuperJunior. The countries that voted most actively included Thailand, South Korea, and the Philippines. Twitter also ran a campaign offering fans a chance to win signed GOT7 albums and other gifts to celebrate the group's win.
