Two directors resign from Xryma Plc board
Xryma Plc, a Cyprus-based banktech group, announced the resignation of two independent, non-executive board members, Christakis Taoushanis and Adonis Pegasiou. The resignations took effect on September 30, 2026.

Nicosia, Cyprus – Xryma Plc, the Cyprus-based banktech group operating under the ISX Financial® brand, announced on Tuesday that two independent, non-executive board members, Christakis Taoushanis and Adonis Pegasiou, have resigned. The resignations took effect on September 30, 2026.
Taoushanis' departure is in line with the Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC) corporate governance guidelines. These rules stipulate that a board member serving for over 10 years is no longer considered independent. Taoushanis had been part of the board for nearly a decade and served as its chairman since the company received its initial regulatory license. He stated that he could no longer be considered an independent director and thus is stepping down from the chairmanship.
Group Managing Director and CEO Nikogiannis Karantzis thanked Taoushanis for his extensive contributions and leadership. Taoushanis played a significant role in the company's development, including preparations for a listing on Euronext Paris and establishing a direct connection to the European Central Bank's system.
Adonis Pegasiou resigned due to increased professional commitments. Pegasiou serves as the Academic Director of the European Institute of Management and Finance (EIMF), a role demanding more of his time and attention. Given the growing complexity of Xryma's business and the need for deeper board member engagement, Pegasiou felt it appropriate to step down to ensure his other professional obligations do not compromise his ability to fulfill his directorial duties to CBC standards.
Xryma Plc is a regulated banktech group offering cross-border open banking, international transaction banking, and real-time payment services for the EU and the UK. The company is among the first non-banks to participate directly in the Eurosystem's T2 settlement system.
