Two municipalities adopt joint document management system
The municipalities of Lastrup and Lindern in Germany have jointly implemented the enaio document management system (DMS). The digitalization initiative aims to streamline administrative processes.

ITEBO-Unternehmensgruppe, an IT service provider, has successfully implemented the enaio document management system (DMS) in the municipalities of Lastrup and Lindern, located in the Cloppenburg district of Germany. The project's objective is to digitalize administrative processes and improve citizens' access to services in line with the Online Access Act (OZG).
Bürgermeisters Michael Kramer of Lastrup and Karsten Hage of Lindern, advocated for the digitalization. The municipalities leveraged their existing relationship as managed IT customers of ITEBO to collaborate on the DMS implementation. This inter-municipal cooperation aimed to achieve synergy effects in the project.
The project involved a joint kickoff meeting where project plans were presented and objectives were defined for both administrations. The implementation included a unified system for archiving specialized files, such as construction and personnel records, as well as general correspondence. Additionally, a module for managing construction projects and an interface to the P&I LOGA HR system were integrated.
Both municipalities report significant gains in efficiency and transparency within their administrative operations. The enhanced accessibility of digital documents from any location has reportedly reduced search times and increased overall speed. ITEBO is currently planning future development steps in collaboration with the municipalities.
