Two Point O Capital Secures $10 Million to Fund Distributed Energy Projects

Two Point O Capital has raised $10 million in a Series A funding round led by Transition Venture Capital to address the financing gap for small-scale clean energy projects. The company aims to channel capital into distributed assets—such as rooftop solar, battery storage, and wastewater treatment—for commercial and industrial users.

Unlike traditional financial institutions, the startup employs a proprietary underwriting engine and IoT-enabled asset monitoring to facilitate financing for industrial clients. By partnering with original equipment manufacturers and engineering firms, Two Point O functions as a full-stack enablement platform, overseeing project performance without managing the physical installations itself.

CEO Karan Bhutani noted that while large-scale grid projects attract significant investment, the industrial sector remains underserved. The firm has already secured a roster of large clients, including Wipro, Godrej, and JK Tyre, and plans to use the new funding to scale its operations and enter the SME segment.

The company is targeting an assets under management (AUM) goal of $75 million to $100 million over the coming years as it expands into sectors like manufacturing and data centers.
