UBA publishes interim report on climate research
Germany's Environment Agency (UBA) has released an interim publication on research into achieving a climate-neutral Germany. Consideo GmbH contributed modeling.
Germany's Environment Agency (Umweltbundesamt, UBA) has published an interim report on the "GreenEe" scenario, outlining a path toward a climate-neutral and resource-efficient Germany.
The findings presented in the publication are largely based on analyses from the ongoing research project "Transformationsprozess zum treibhausgasneutralen und ressourcenschonenden Deutschland" (FKZ: 3715 41 115 0). This project is being undertaken by a consortium including ifeu (Institut für Energie- und Umweltforschung), Fraunhofer's IWES, and Consideo GmbH.
Consideo GmbH was responsible for conducting the system dynamic modeling within the project "KliReX" (FKZ 3716 32 100 0), which focused on identifying and assessing the greenhouse gas mitigation potential of resource efficiency policies.
This interim publication by UBA contributes to the broader understanding of the transformations required for Germany to meet its climate goals. Consideo's role in providing the modeling framework highlights the application of complex analytical tools in policy research.
