Ubisoft has reported significant sales for its recently released remastered title, Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Memory Reset. The game sold 3.5 million copies worldwide in the first two weeks following its launch on July 9, the company stated in its Q1 fiscal year 2026-27 earnings summary.

This sales performance has already surpassed Ubisoft's initial projections for the full year. The game is a complete remake of the 2013 title Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, rebuilt from the ground up using the latest Anvil engine under the development leadership of Ubisoft Singapore.

Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Memory Reset is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms. The domestic standard edition in China is priced at 248 yuan, with additional DLC content available for 40 yuan per pack.

CEO Yves Guillemot remarked that the sales figure within two weeks exceeded their original annual forecast, attributing the success to the development team's talent and the enduring appeal of the Assassin's Creed brand. During an investor call, CFO Frederick Duguet noted that remakes have lower development costs compared to new titles, though they also retail at a lower price. He anticipates the game's development costs will be fully recouped within this fiscal quarter.
