Ubisoft clarifies Assassin's Creed pipeline: Hexe details due in 2027
Ubisoft confirmed there are no further Assassin's Creed remakes in active development as it shifts focus toward upcoming original titles.
Ubisoft has confirmed that no additional remakes of the Assassin’s Creed franchise are currently in development following the release of the Black Flag remake. The publisher noted that its resources are now focused on developing new chapters in the series, though it did not rule out exploring further remake opportunities in the future.
Details regarding the next major entry, Assassin’s Creed: Hexe, are scheduled for release in 2027. The title is being positioned as a departure in tone, described as a darker experience for the series. Meanwhile, Ubisoft announced that Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, which has surpassed 40 million players, will receive its long-requested "New Game+" mode on November 5.
This update for Valhalla includes new difficulty scaling, achievements, and additional in-game items. Ubisoft indicated that player reception to these post-launch additions may influence future content strategies for other entries in the franchise.
