Ubisoft Plans to Close RedLynx Studio in Finland and Cut Jobs in Singapore

Video game company Ubisoft intends to close its RedLynx studio in Finland and implement significant job cuts at its Singapore studio as part of a broader restructuring effort.

14 October 2026

Video game giant Ubisoft has announced plans to close its RedLynx studio located in Finland and significantly reduce staffing at its Singapore studio. These measures are part of a broader restructuring aimed at streamlining operations and cutting costs.

The closure of the Finnish studio is expected to affect up to 52 positions, with local consultation processes underway. In Singapore, 70 roles will be eliminated to align the workforce with future production needs. Ubisoft emphasized Singapore's continued importance within its global network.

RedLynx, acquired by Ubisoft in 2011, is best known for the Trials game series, with its last major title being Trials of the Fusion in 2019. Since then, the studio has increasingly taken on support roles within Ubisoft's development pipeline. Reports suggest the studio currently lacks assigned projects and a sustainable independent operational model.

The studio has experienced previous workforce reductions, including a round in 2025 where it shifted focus to mobile game development. The current situation indicates a further strategic realignment for the studio within Ubisoft's global operations.
