Ubisoft to Announce New Ghost Recon Details on August 6
Game developer Ubisoft has announced via its official X account that new information regarding the Ghost Recon series will be revealed on August 6. This announcement coincides with the series' 25th anniversary.

Video game publisher Ubisoft has announced that it will share new details about its Ghost Recon franchise on August 6. The announcement was made on the series' official X account.
While Ubisoft did not specify the exact nature of the announcement, speculation is mounting given the timing. The date marks the 25th anniversary of the Ghost Recon series. Recent leaks suggest the announcement may involve an updated version of the 2017 title, Ghost Recon: Wildlands.
Several regional Xbox and PlayStation storefronts have reportedly listed a "Ghost Recon: Wildlands Ultimate Edition." This edition is said to include a new "Last Rites" mission and support for 4K resolution at 60 frames per second, potentially indicating compatibility with current-generation consoles like the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Further supporting this theory, two new cosmetic packs, "Nightfall Protocol" and "Cold Eye," are listed for release on August 6, aligning with Ubisoft's planned announcement date.
The previous installment in the series, Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, was released in 2019 to mixed reviews, achieving a Metacritic score of 56.
