Ubisoft has announced that its mobile game "Rainbow Six" will cease operations on January 15, 2027, less than a year after its global launch in February 2023.

10 October 2026

Ubisoft announced on October 9th that its mobile game, "Rainbow Six," will cease operations on January 15, 2027. The decision comes less than a year after the game's global release in February 2023, following regional beta tests that began in 2022.

The move is part of a strategic shift within Ubisoft, as the development team will transition to other long-term projects. In a statement, the developers expressed pride in the game and the community built over 15 seasons, noting that the next planned season will still be released next week.

The mobile "Rainbow Six" aimed to bring the popular tactical shooter experience to mobile devices, incorporating elements and maps from the PC and console title "Rainbow Six Siege." The original "Rainbow Six Siege" will continue to operate, with Ubisoft stating commitments to its ongoing development and player community.
