UGREEN Launches E-Ink Display Phone Case for iPhone 17/18 Pro Models
UGREEN has introduced a new "Magic" phone case featuring a 3.7-inch color e-ink display. Designed for Apple's iPhone 17 and 18 Pro series, the case offers both device protection and customizable screen capabilities.
Tech accessory maker UGREEN has launched a new "Magic" phone case that integrates a customizable e-ink display with device protection. The case features a 3.7-inch color e-ink panel capable of displaying images and graphics in multiple colors, including black, white, red, yellow, blue, and green.
The case is designed for compatibility with Apple's iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, iPhone 18 Pro, and iPhone 18 Pro Max models. Constructed from TPU, PC, and microfiber, it is available in matte black, mist white, and wine red color options. The e-ink screen on the back utilizes NFC technology for image transfer, allowing for zero power consumption in static display mode and retaining the image even after the phone's power is disconnected.
According to UGREEN, the image update process takes approximately 40 seconds. Users can upload images from their photo library or create custom designs via the UGREEN app. The NFC antenna can be deactivated to prevent interference with the phone's normal contactless payment functions.
In terms of protection, the case incorporates a four-corner airbag structure for shock absorption. Its edges are also raised – approximately 1mm higher than the screen and 0.7mm higher than the camera module – to prevent scratches and wear when the phone is placed on flat surfaces.
The UGREEN Magic phone case is priced at 278.8 yuan (approximately $38 USD) and is available on select platforms. This accessory offers iPhone users a new way to personalize and safeguard their devices.
