Ukraine anticipates over €10 billion in reconstruction aid

Ukraine anticipates over 160 reconstruction agreements, valued at more than 10 billion euros, at a conference held in Gdańsk, Poland. These agreements are expected to be finalized over the next two days, according to Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko. The conference aims to secure financial and technical support for the nation's rebuilding efforts.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced that the first installment of 3.2 billion euros from the EU's €90 billion loan facility will be transferred on Thursday. Of this new EU funding totaling €90 billion, €60 billion is earmarked for defense-related expenditures. Half of these funds are slated for disbursement this year, with an additional €45 billion potentially following next year.

Separately, Ukrainian statements have indicated a readiness to coordinate strikes against Russian military installations. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had previously suggested Ukraine could conduct pre-emptive strikes against Russian military bases. These remarks have drawn international concern but have not been officially confirmed as a directive.

Russia, meanwhile, reported repelling drone attacks across several regions, including Crimea and the Krasnodar region. The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that 269 Ukrainian drones were neutralized overnight. Reports indicated debris from downed drones caused fires at oil storage facilities in Krasnodar and other sites, although no casualties or significant damage were officially reported.
