Ukrainian drone attacks on a resort in the Zaporizhzhia region have killed at least 11 people. The strikes reportedly targeted a tourist area in the region, which has been partially occupied during the conflict.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova condemned the attacks, accusing Kyiv of lashing out at civilian targets. "Kyiv is suffering a military defeat and is unable to turn the tide of the war, so it is venting its anger on the civilian population," Zakharova was quoted as saying by TASS.

Elsewhere in the conflict, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy claimed Russia is seeking to recruit 30,000 North Korean soldiers. According to Zelenskyy, Russia is preparing to deploy North Korean military personnel in the Voronezh region and that North Korea will supply Russia with new ballistic missile launch systems.

Developments in Ukraine continue amid rising civilian casualties. Russia has also extended its ban on gasoline exports until the end of the year in response to Ukrainian attacks on oil refineries.
