Ukraine Hits Russian E-commerce Warehouse Again
Ukrainian drones destroyed a major warehouse belonging to Russian e-commerce giant Wildberries in the Tambov region on Wednesday. This is the second attack on the company's facilities in five weeks.
Ukrainian long-range drones struck a major warehouse belonging to Russia's largest online retailer, Wildberries, in the Tambov region, southeast of Moscow, on Wednesday, causing a fire that burned it to the ground, local authorities said.
This is the second strike on Wildberries facilities in five weeks. A previous attack on July 18 killed seven people and signaled the start of Ukraine's aerial campaign against Russian commercial targets.
Ukraine states that its drone attacks aim to disrupt the Russian economy and signal to Russians living far from the front lines. In addition to warehouse strikes, Ukraine has also targeted Russian oil facilities.
Wildberries confirmed the overnight attack and a fire at its depot in the Tambov region, stating the facility was evacuated. The region's governor said two people were injured in the incident. Russia's Defense Ministry reported shooting down over 400 Ukrainian drones across multiple Russian regions and Crimea overnight.
