Uncanny Owl Launches Tin Canny Plugin for WordPress SCORM and xAPI Courses

Toronto, Canada – Uncanny Owl has launched Tin Canny xAPI/SCORM for WordPress, a standalone plugin designed to allow any WordPress website to host and track SCORM and xAPI compliant eLearning content. The plugin enables users to upload course packages created with authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate, ensuring they can be delivered and tracked directly within their WordPress site.

The new plugin includes a built-in Learning Record Store (LRS) that captures all learner data locally, eliminating the need for separate, external LRS subscriptions. This approach keeps learner data under the user's control and within their own WordPress database. The system records completions, scores, and xAPI statements, offering filterable reports exportable as CSV files.

Tin Canny xAPI/SCORM for WordPress also offers integration with Uncanny Automator, allowing it to trigger actions in other popular WordPress LMS plugins like LifterLMS, Tutor LMS, and MemberPress Courses. This enables automated workflows, such as marking lessons complete based on course results or enrolling learners in new courses based on their performance.
