UnionTech Integrates AI into Industrial 3D Printing Workflows
UnionTech has launched its Quick AI platform, incorporating artificial intelligence into industrial 3D printing processes to accelerate design and production. The system aims to significantly reduce preparation time for complex parts.

UnionTech, a provider of industrial 3D printing solutions, has integrated artificial intelligence (AI) into its manufacturing workflows with the introduction of its Quick AI platform. This new system is designed to substantially expedite the design and production processes for complex 3D-printed parts.
Traditionally, preparing a complex part for industrial 3D printing can require experienced engineers several hours to days to assess material suitability, part orientation, support structure needs, and potential deformation risks. UnionTech's new AI-driven system, utilizing "Process Agents," can generate a preliminary process plan in minutes for projects with comparable historical data.
Allen Yang, Vice General Manager and Head of Digital Center and AI at UnionTech, stated that industrial 3D printing is entering a new phase of competition. The capability of hardware to fabricate increasingly complex parts must align with customer demands for consistent, controlled, and continuous small-batch production. The AI initiatives are intended to organize, institutionalize, and scale these manufacturing capabilities.
Through the Quick AI platform, process engineers can build their own "Process Agents" to continuously log workflows, experimental results, and empirical parameters. This data forms a valuable institutional reference for future projects. When a new project begins, the "Process Agent" leverages existing logs and similar historical cases to rapidly generate a proposed process plan. This significantly reduces repetitive trial-and-error, although complex components still necessitate engineering review and physical validation.
UnionTech's broader digital infrastructure includes Unionfab Cloud, Unionfab ONE, and the Auto Product Suite, which collectively enable deeper AI integration into manufacturing. Quick AI serves as the collaborative orchestrator within this framework, connecting intelligent agents with the company's knowledge bases and operational tools.
