Unitree Robotics founder Wang Xingxing announced at the World Internet Conference that the company is prioritizing the development of 'robot brains' and seeking international collaboration.

3 November 2026

Unitree Robotics, a Chinese developer of humanoid and quadruped robots, is realigning its technical strategy to prioritize the development of advanced robotic intelligence, or 'robot brains.' During the World Internet Conference in Wuzhen on November 3, founder Wang Xingxing stated that the company intends to pursue global partnerships to advance physical AI technology.

This shift follows the company's recent strategic roadmap, which emphasizes mass production capabilities to meet anticipated large-scale market demand. Unitree aims to integrate internal hardware development with external partnerships to deploy physical AI models, supported by investments in large-scale computing clusters.

Financial data indicates a period of rapid growth for the company. In its first financial report following its public listing, Unitree reported revenue of 1.817 billion yuan for the first three quarters of 2026, marking a 55.71% increase year-over-year. Net profit attributable to shareholders reached 387 million yuan, representing a 270.54% growth compared to the same period in 2025.
