HILVERSUM, The Netherlands – Universal Music Group N.V. (EURONEXT: UMG) has announced the completion of its share buyback program, totaling €250 million.

The company reported that from August 31, 2026, up to and including September 4, 2026, it repurchased a total of 294,340 of its own shares. This latest tranche of share repurchases finalized the entire buyback program.

UMG's buyback program was intended to repurchase shares up to a maximum value of €250 million. This action was part of the company's capital allocation strategy to return capital to its shareholders.

Share repurchases are a common corporate action aimed at reducing the number of outstanding shares and potentially increasing earnings per share. They can also signal to the market that a company believes its stock is undervalued.
